Ted van Zutphen – “Congratulations, Svetulya, on being chosen for the second issue in a row as a Featured Poet in Simply Haiku! I’m so excited for you and happy to be there along your side! I’m so proud of your amazing accomplishments… we’ve come a long way, baby

Why thank you, sir – and far to go yet. (July 18, 2011 at 9:48)

I leave in few short days for Korea to meet family I have never met before. A few days later I will be heading to Russia for the operation. All going well I will be recuperating near Nizhny for whatever remains of the Northern summer.

winter chill –
still this outburst
of flowers!
Thank you, everyone of you. It is amazing that, as popular communication, descends into grunts of uniformity aided by txtalese, we can find a haven where complete strangers can come to genuinely care for one another. Words are not lifeless formulas – they are as leaves moving in the wind as the breath of our spirit moves out to others. (July 21, 2011 at 13:42)

For each of us the moment of death is going to be the most terrifying and intensely lonely moment of our lives. What effect would it have on the way we live our humdrum days if we were to write our own death haiku each morning before proceeding into our day? (July 21, 2011 at 18:30)

of a life not yet lived
(July 21, 2011 at 20:11)

The tree has entered my hands,
The sap has ascended my arms,
The tree has grown in my breast-
The branches grow out of me, like arms.

Tree you are,
Moss you are,
You are violets with wind above them.
A child – so high – you are,
And all this is folly to the world. (A Girl – Ezra Pound) (July 22, 2011 at 15:46)

I mark the moment
with chalk on the water

There are so many people I want to send a personal message of appreciation and gratitude to before I depart, but my short term memory is letting me down rather badly as each day goes by. If I have not got around to you yet please accept my sincere apologies.
спасибо ♥
